TEHRAN, Jan. 06 (MNA) – The parliamentarian delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran has left Damascus for the Lebanese capital of Beirut.

Led by Head of Parliaments National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Alaeddin Boroujerdi, the panel of Iranian MPs left Syria for Lebanon following a two-day visit to Damascus.

Members of the Iranian delegation are slated to meet with senior officials of Lebanon including President Michel Aoun, Prime Minister Saad Hariri as well as Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri.

While in Syria, members of the Iranian parliament attended meetings with senior Syrian officials including Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, Parliament Speaker Hadiya Khalaf Abbas, Prime Minister Imad Khamis and Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem.
