BEIRUT, Dec. 23 (MNA) – Iranian Deputy FM Hossein Jaberi Ansari met with Lebanese new PM Saad Hariri in Beirut on Thursday and exchanged views on the recent developments of the region and Lebanon.

“This agreement is the voice of tact and wisdom,” said Jaberi Ansari about the resolution of Lebanese government-forming crisis which led to the presidency of Michel Aoun and premiership of Saad Hariri, “all of the nations and governments of the region should follow Lebanon as a role model for its years of experiences."

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs, Hossein Jaberi Ansari, who is visiting Lebanese capital city of Beirut, made the remarks as he met with Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri on Thursday night.

He hailed Mr. Hariri for the assumption of the post and formation of the new Lebanese government. The Iranian diplomat voiced his content with what he called the success of political leaders and movements in Lebanon and described it as a big change to be taken as a role model.

“There is no military solution for the regional crises,” reiterated the Iranian deputy FM, “and the war not only does not solve any problem but also deteriorates the potentials of the region and here, there is no winner but the Zionist regime.”

The Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri, for his part, referred to the compromise and unanimity of all sides in Lebanon and reassured that without sharing the concerns no agreement could be reached in Lebanon.

“This success was the result of each side recognizing the rights of the other sides,” underlined Hariri, “to solve the crises in the region it is necessary to let all perspectives play role in the running of the governments.”

Exchanging ideas on different developments of the region, the two sides also focused on economic ties between Iran and Lebanon.
