TEHRAN, Oct. 05 (MNA) – War documentary ‘A157’ by Behrouz Nouranipour will be screened in Library Film Festival in Jaipur, India, as a tribute to global peace.

Known for its special identity in the world cinema and hailed as the ‘Festival City’ all over the world, Jaipur is now all set to launch the first ever Library International Festival from October 21- 23 2016 at Golcha Cinema.

Out of a total of 303 films received from 35 countries, 21 films of 13 countries have been nominated. Among this list, is an Iranian documentary feature ‘A157’ directed by Behrouz Nouranipour. The shocking documentary 'A157' which won the Special Jury Award at Iran’s Cinéma Véritére, relates the horrors of war and terrorism in Syria, especially on women and children.

Films have been selected by a Selection Board of 10 experts. In this festival the audience too will get a chance to choose the best film according to their own choice.

Looking at the current scenario of the entire world, specially India and Pakistan, the special tribute of this festival has been chosen as ‘Global Peace’. Incidentally in the festival too there are many films based on global peace, war and harmony. 

The festival is being organized by the ‘Jaipur International Film Festival Trust’ and the ‘Jaipur International Film Festival- JIFF’.Iran’s ‘A157’ goes to India’s Library filmfest.
