TEHRAN, Jul. 20 (MNA) – Swiss Deputy FM Yves Rossier has said the recent nuclear agreement between Iran and the 5+1 will return the country to the international arena and enable it to defend its right like any other nation.

The visiting Secretary of State of the Swiss Foreign Ministry Yves Rossier made the remarks on Monday while paying tribute to martyrs of the Iraq-Iran Imposed War by visiting a memorial site in the city of Shalamche in Khuzestan Province.

Asserting that the recent nuclear agreement between Iran and the 5+1 group of countries will have a positive impact on the regional developments, the Swiss official added the accord would usher in a great number of investments and lay the ground for the return of the Islamic Republic to international arenas.

He further voiced his support for the agreement, expressing hope that in the coming year, Switzerland will mull over new opportunities for investment in Iran’s various projects.

Rossier was accompanied by a number of local officials as well as surviving veterans who briefed the Swiss official on the events and sacrifices during the Sacred Defense period.

Economic relations between Switzerland and Iran have traditionally been good, and up until 2008, the volume of trade was on a continual increase. With the international sanctions against Iran, however, the volume of trade between the two countries have dwindled.

Under the nuclear agreement dubbed the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) that was reached last week between Iran and the 5+1, limits will be put on Iran’s nuclear activities in exchange for, among other things, the removal of all economic and financial bans, against the Islamic Republic.
