In the competitions held at the Pirouzi Gym in Isfahan, Iran finished first with 79 points. Armenia and Russia came second and third with 49 and 22 points respectively.
Turkey and Iraq were the other Takhti Cup Tournament participants.
Takhti Cup International Freestyle Wrestling Tournament is held annually in Iran. Takhti is the most famous wrestler in Iranian history. He was internationally renowned for his merciful behavior and sportsmanship. He continues to symbolize the essence of sports and fair play for Iranian people.
