Majlis committee allocates $1.7b for Tehran Metro

TEHRAN, Nov. 30 (MNA) - The Majlis Planning and Budget Committee has ratified the allocation of 1.7 billion dollars for Tehran Metro and 300 million dollars for urban transportation in other major cities.

Jafar Qaderi who sits on the Majlis planning committee stated on Monday that allocation of 2 billion dollars from the Forex Reserve Fund to Tehran Metro and other cities is unavoidable.

Talking to the Mehr News Agency, Qaderi said that the plan will relieve citizens from traffic jams and air pollution in big cities.
