Iran seriously prepared for any scenario: Gharibabadi

TEHRAN, Apr. 11 (MNA) – A member of Iranian negotiating team in Islamabad Kazem Gharibabadi says that the Islamic Republic of Iran has gained victory in the 40-day aggression and is prepared for any scenario.

Speaking to national Iranian TV in the Pakistani capital on Saturday, Kazem Gharibabadi, deputy foreign minister for legal affairs said in response to a question that “this round of talks is fundamentally different from the previous rounds of talks. He continued, “This round of talks is not just a negotiation, but a demand, and in fact, Iran has a long list of demands.”
Referring to some of these demands, he said, “God willing, with the seriousness that exists in the Iranian delegation and the superiority that we have on the military field, and with the unity and cohesion that has been created, we will be able to advance Iran's rightful demands.”
Referring to the high level of the Iranian delegation participating in these talks, this senior diplomat of the Islamic Republic of Iran noted, “This issue shows Iran's seriousness in these talks. Iran is seriously prepared for any scenario. If the scenario is to defend the country, we are completely serious in this regard. We are also serious about the subject of negotiations and have participated at the highest level, as the head of one of the three branches of government is heading the Iranian delegation.”
Gharibabadi also continued by talking about other differences between this round of negotiations and the previous ones, “We achieved good victories in the war and in fact we are in the negotiations with the upper hand. The Americans did not achieve their goals in the war.”
He referred to Iran's dominance over the Strait of Hormuz and the importance of that issue as one of the pain differences of the Islamabad talks and the previous talks with the US mediated by Oman.
