The Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas resistance forces, said it targeted an Israeli Merkava tank with two Yassin 105 rockets in Tel al-Hawa, a southern Gaza area where Israeli artillery has been heavily deployed.
The operation, conducted near Al-Urduni Hospital, was successful, with the resistance brigades reporting to have killed or wounded the tank’s crew, according to Al Jazeera.
In a statement, the Qassam Brigades described the strike as a precise response to Zionist crimes in the region.
Concurrently, the Jenin Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad, reported detonating bombs targeting Israeli military vehicles in Al-Dhahr, Jenin.
The resistance group said the attack "certainly hit several Israeli soldiers," though specific casualty figures were not provided.
Both resistance groups have vowed to continue their operations in defense of Palestinian sovereignty and dignity.
