VIDEO: Iran's Lavandevil Wildlife Refuge home to red deer

TEHRAN, Nov. 22 (MNA) – Located in northwestern Iran, along the Caspian Sea coast just north of the city of Lavandevil, the Lavandevil Wildlife Refuge is home to the largest red deer in Iran.

The red deer is one of the largest deer species. A male red deer is called a stag or hart, and a female is called a hind. The red deer inhabits most of Europe, the Caucasus Mountains region, Anatolia, Iran, and parts of western Asia.
