Iran sympathizes with Greece over massive wildfire

TEHRAN, Aug. 09 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh expressed regret over the massive wildfires that have engulfed some regions of Greece, killing and injuring several people and causing material damages.

In a statement on Sunday, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman offered sympathy to the Greek nation and government and the families affected by the catastrophe.
He also expressed hope that the wildfires will be contained soon.

Fire in Greece forests which has continued for five days without being contained has burnt parts of the country in Euboea.

Hundreds of people had to evacuate the area.
