Falahatpisheh made the remark on Sunday in a meeting with Syrian Ambassador to Iran Adnan Hassan Mahmoud adding, “Iran’s regional strategy is to maintain national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria.”
He pointed to the field victories and developments in Syria and said, “the telation between Islamic Republic of Iran and Syria is of strategic nature, adding the two countries will maintain political ties in other strategic fields including economic cooperation.”
He pointed to the US hostile measures against Iran adding, “US has spared no efforts to tarnish and undermine the true image of Islamic Republic since the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution. Therefore, current threats of Trump Administration against Iran is not a new one.”
For his part, Syrian Ambassador to Iran Adnan Hassan Mahmoud pointed to the yesterday’s terrorist attacks in Syria which claimed lives of many people and wounded a dozens of innocent women and children adding, “US and its regional allies should be held responsible for the terrorist acts.”
He pointed to the reconstruction in Syria, saying “Syrian government is interested in taking advantage of Iran’s high capabilities and potentials in reconstruction of this war-torn country, so that the current trend of ties between Tehran and Damascus will be accelerated considerably.”
Turning to the significance of expansion of all-out ties between Iran and Syria, he said, “United States and its allies are seeking economic war due to their political failure in the region.”
