He made the remarks on the sideline of Africa Day ceremony held in Tehran on Tuesday.
“We should see that how much Europeans, the two other JCPOA signatories and other members of international community have readiness to safeguard the achievements [of the deal] and adopt the required measures,” he added.
Describing his meetings with involved countries as “good”, the minister implicitly said that time will tell how many practical steps would be taken by remaining signatories.
Elsewhere he said that Islamic Republic of Iran have had the most attention towards Africa after 1979 Islamic Revolution.
Expressing happiness regarding Iran’s appropriate ties with African states, Zarif highlighted, “our relations with Africa is based on common interest, and also on common perspectives upon confronting colonialism.”
He wished that Iran-Africa relations would continue and further expand.
