Russia in talks with Europe to maintain JCPOA

TEHRAN, Jun. 26 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that Russia is in direct talk with Europe in order to keep Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) alive, Parliament Independent Fraction Spokesman Mehrdad Lahouti quoted Zarif as saying.

In this get-together meeting, Zarif expounded on the latest situation of nuclear talks with Europe, future of JCPOA and pertinent issues.

Representative of people of Langeroud in the Parliament reiterated, “while criticizing non-compliance of US with JCPOA, Zarif said that the West has targeted Iranian economy directly and has typically initiated an economic war against the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

Enemies of Iran are waging economic war against the Islamic Republic of Iran and seek to annihilate the country, Zarif said, adding, “we should make our utmost effort to resist against enemies of the country firmly.”

Strengthening relations with neighboring states is atop agenda of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Howver, Russia is currently in direct talk with Europe in order to keep JCPOA alive, Zarif concluded.
