Tehran, Moscow, Ankara discuss Astana statement

TEHRAN, Jan. 24 (MNA) – Iran, Russia and Turkey held the third round of trilateral sessions to conduct final review over their tripartite statement for Astana peace talks on Syria.

Officials from Iran, Russia and Turkey came face to face for the third time in Marriott Hotel of Astana to share final views on joint statement of the three countries for Astana talks.

Delegations of the three states, headed by Iran’s Hossein Jaberi Ansari, Russia’s Alexander Lavrentiev as well as Sedat Onal of Turkey, held a session on Monday evening and each party presented their final comments over the articles of the statement on Syrian peace process.

Astana international meeting kicked off on Monday with attendance of delegations form the Syrian government, opposition groups as well as three countries who back the ongoing ceasefire in Syria and it will come to an end on Tuesday evening upon announcement of a tripartite declaration.
