Europe to get taste of Iran’s ‘Immortality’

TEHRAN, Sep. 27 (MNA) – ‘Immortality’, a play directed by Nima Dehghan about immigration, is preparing to start its tour to a number of Eurasian and European countries.

Nima Dehghan’s ‘Immortality’ is currently being staged in Tehran, and according to its director, will experience its first international staging on 3 October 2016, at High Fest International Performing Arts Festival in Armenia.

“An international theater company has signed a contract with our team under which ‘Immortality’ will be taken on tour to various festivals and cities in Europe,” Dehghan said, adding “at the moment, the play has been scheduled to go on stage in Ukraine, Georgia, Russia, and Czech Republic, following the performance at High Fest.”

He also noted that ‘Immortality’ will start its European tour to Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, and Belgium in Spring of 2017.

‘Immortality’ is a silent performance on the topic of immigration. Farzin Sabouni is its sole stage actor.
