Mauritania Arab League Summit ‘unavailing for Saudis’

TEHRAN, Jul. 28 (MNA) – FM spokesperson has said Foreign Ministry has been closely watching Mauritania Arab League Summit 2016 only to find that Saudis’ attempts on consensus-building for its misguided policies have not produced desired outcomes.

Bahram Ghasemi who was officially responding to Arab League Summit 2016 on Thursday, told reporters that Saudi Arabia’s efforts to bring a convergence to Arab countries in Mauritanian summit had systematically failed which included the kingdom’s attempts to lure Arab countries to participate in Yemen war, support for terrorism in Syria, crackdown in Bahrain, and no less important open relations with Zionism and betrayal of Palestinians; “in all of these, Saudis failed to bring about a consensus in the Summit and Mauritanian session was only a lukewarm support for Saudi policies,” he told the press.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran officially warns countries who has still been in line with Saudi policies in the region that they will find nothing special than responsibility and complicity in crimes against humanity and the dark prospects of supporting terrorism in the future as political outcomes of unswerving support for Saudis,” Ghasemi concluded.
