TEHRAN, Mar. 17 (MNA) – Iranian snooker player Amir Sarkhosh defeated his Malaysian rival in the final game of the Asian Snooker Championships on Thursday to snatch the gold medal of the tournament for a third time.

Representatives from 25 Asian countries were present in the tournament which ran in Doha, Qatar for six days.

On his way to the final game, Sarkhosh defeated rivals from Syria, Jordan, and the UAE in his group, and then beat other rivals from Afghanistan, Hong Kong and India in the Round of 16, quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively.
