TEHRAN, Dec. 28 (MNA) – A Hamas official has rejected as false the Israeli regime's media reports on reaching a deal with the Resistance movement on prisoners exchange.

"Zaher Jabarin", a member of Hamas's political bureau said in a statement, according to Beit Lahm Radio, that "What has been released by some Israeli regime's media regarding the progress of talks for the exchange of prisoners between the Hamas movement and this regime is incorrect."

Meanwhile, the Hamas official said the resistance movement will keep its promises to secure the release of the brave Palestinian prisoners held by the Israeli regime.

The statement was a response to yesterday's (Tuesday)'s reports by the Zionist Israeli regime's media which reported the progress of the negotiations between the regime and the Hamas movement regarding the exchange of prisoners and quoted the security officials of the regime as saying that the talks for the release of Palestinian prisoners in the Gaza Strip were ongoing.

According to the reports by relevant bodies active in the affairs of Palestinian prisoners, the occupying forces of the Quds regime are holding about 4,850 Palestinians, including 41 women, 225 children and 540 employees, in 23 prisons across the occupied lands.
