TEHRAN, Nov. 15 (MNA) – Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced the country’s considerable number of libraries, which shows Iran’s superiority among Muslim states.

Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili made the remarks on the national day of commemorating books, book-reading, and librarians in Tehran.

He said that Iran has 3,800 libraries which make the country first among Muslim countries.

The figure makes Iran stand fourth among Asian countries in this regard, he further noted.
