TEHRAN, Dec. 08 (MNA) – Iran’s export of products to neighboring Iraq registered a significant 67 percent hike in the eight months of the current year (March 21 – Nov. 21) as compared to the last year’s corresponding period.

The latest foreign trade statistics of nonoil exports show that Iraq was ranked first in the list of importing Iranian goods for the second consecutive month.

Given the above issue, 14,216,000 tons of goods, valued at $6.757 billion, were exported to neighboring Iraq, showing a considerable 18.89 and 21.46 percent hike in terms of weight and value respectively as compared to the last year’s corresponding period.  

In the same direction, 8,556,000 tons of goods, valued at $4.056 billion, were exported from the Islamic Republic of Iran to Iraq in the eight months of the last Iranian calendar year (March 20-Nov. 20, 2018).

Accordingly, statistics show that Iran’s export of products to Iraq in the same period registered a considerable 66.14 and 66.59 percent hike in terms of weight and value respectively as compared to the last year’s corresponding period.
