Director General of Kermanshah Customs Administration Khalil Heidari made the above statement on Sunday, saying that the province’s exports observed a 33% and 53% growth in tonnage and value, respectively, compared to last year’s corresponding period.
According to the official, Kermanshah has five active border crosses, among which Sumar border cross has considerable potentials of becoming a major gateway in western Iran as only value-added goods are transited through that border cross.
Noting that Kermanshah exports goods to 36 foreign markets, the official said Iraq is the main target of the western province’s products.
According to him, detergents, evaporative products, home appliances, tomato, tile, plastic bags, coolers and ice cream are among the goods exported via the province’s borders.
