TEHRAN, May 21 (MNA) – Leader’s senior adviser Velayati said Donald Trump’s objective for visiting Saudi Arabia is to collect money for US bankrupt economy, voicing regret that some regional countries gift their treasuries to him.

Head of Strategic Researches Center at Iran’s Expediency Council Ali Akbar Velayati made the remarks on Sunday, adding “some US minions in region such as Saudi Arabia gift their treasuries and national properties to the cheapjack president of the US in hopes of creating a theatrical forum to bolster the weakening terrorists in the Middle East.”

Velayati noted that North Korea continued with its agenda despite the US bluffing and managed to force them to retreat, adding “the Americans will also retreat from our region when faced with the resistance front with the Islamic Republic in the center of it.”

The Iranian senior official then felicitated the re-election of President Rouhani, adding “participation of over 70 per cent of eligible voters in the election as well as the Iranian expatriates in over 100 countries in the world indicate achieving a good international record and golden standard in the region for us.”

“The world tends to listen to a politician who has a strong support from his/her people,” he stressed.
