Pointing to Saudi aggression and attacks on a mourning ceremony in Yemen, Amir-Abdollahian said "16 months ago in Jeddah, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir arrogantly talked about victory in Yemen within a few days."
Sixteen months of aggression and crime continues against the people of Yemen and Saudi Arabia has been trapped in Yemen's swamp and is unable to save itself as the regime continues its inefficient security and military approaches, he noted.
Iranian official underlined that Saudi rulers have exhausted the patience of Yemen's resistant nation.
Popular resistance in Yemen proves tougher days ahead of Riyadh in the battle, Amir-Abdollahian said, adding that Saudi rulers are mere puppets of the US and Zionist regime playing with the security of their own country and the region.
"Certainly time is not in favor of Riyadh," he concluded.
More than 140 people were killed and more than 525 wounded when Saudi airstrikes hit a funeral ceremony in Yemen’s capital, Sana’a, on Saturday afternoon.
