TEHRAN, Nov. 25 (MNA) – The second Freestyle World Wrestling Clubs Cup will open in Tehran on Thursday with attendance of 12 national and international teams.

The second edition of the competitions will kick off tomorrow at the 12,000-seat hall of the Azadi Sports Complex where some famous figures in the realm of wrestling will face each other.

Lasting for two days, the event will observe Olympic and World medal holders from Iran and other prominent countries while the spectators can witness fascinating combats on Thursday and Friday free of charge.

Great freestyle heroes attending the competition include Iran’s Reza Yazdani (twice world champion), Masoud Esmaeilpour of Iran (world silver medalist), Iran’s Komeil Ghasemi (Olympic bronze and world silver medalist), Jack Herbert of the US (Olympic champion), Franklin Gomez, Russia’s Haji Magmudov (world champion).

Other noteworthy Iranian figures include Behnam Ehsanpour, Alireza Ghasemi, Meysam Mostafajokar, Reza Atri, Ehsan Amini, Mohammad Javad Ebrahimi and Reza Afzali who will definitely offer eye-catching performances against their domestic and foreign counterparts.

The 12 foreign teams participating in the tournament come from America, Hungary, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Armenia, Brazil, Latin America, Iraq and Bangladesh.

Meanwhile, four teams from Iran’s Pro Wrestling League will take part in the competition; namely, Bime Razi, Setaregan-e Sari, Shahrdari Hamedan as well as Mashhad’s Kefayati.

The competitions will be conducted under UWW regulations in 2015 freestyle in senior 8 weight categories in Azadi Sport Complex on November 26-27.
