The Oblivion Season competed in Iran’s 32nd Fajr International Film Festival and its actress Sareh Bayat was a nominee for the best actress title. It also bagged the NETPAC Award (The Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema).
The Oblivion Season tells the story of a woman in Iran who starts a new life by marrying her loved one, but leaving the shadow of her dark past is not as easy as it seemed. Now she is the prisoner of her loved one and to earn her freedom, she will need to fight with the masculine society.
The Iranian flick has so far attended Hudson Festival in New York, held 14-19 August, in Monroe Academy for Visual Arts & Design, Brasov International Film Festival & Market 2015, and the Colombian International Film Festival. The Iranian work is also accepted for the 39th Montreal World Film Festival (MWFF), scheduled from August 27 to September 7.
Universal Film Festival aims at creating and providing a credible and accessible venue for aspiring and talented filmmakers. The Universal Film Festival offers a medium in which independent filmmakers may showcase their works nationally and internationally.
