Tehran concerned over lowering water levels
TEHRAN, Jan. 20 (MNA) – Karaj Dam and Talighan Dam are two of satellite dams of Tehran providing the drinking water and running water of the metropolis. But low rainfall of the recent fall has been concerning the experts. Talighan’s capacity was lowered to 61 percent of its previous full supply volume, showing a 3 percent decrease vis-à-vis last year’s records, while Karaj was reduced to 63 percent, showing a 2% fall in comparison with last year’s numbers.
