Rezaii believes women should take over diplomatic posts

TEHRAN, May 5 (MNA) – Leila Boroujerdi has said that presidential contender Mohsen Rezaii believes that women should also take over top diplomatic posts.

Rezaii’s advisor on women affairs said that management should be based on expert knowledge. Talking to Rezaii’s supporters in Zanjan, she noted that his favorite candidate has different plans for women and the youth. She said she supports Rezaii because of his capabilities.

 

Ally says Mousavi seeks self-sufficiency

 

Soheila Jelodarzadeh stated on Thursday that the slogan “we can” (Ahmadinejad’s campaign slogan) happens only when the country produces all its needs and is not dependent on other nations.

 

Asked why workers support Mousavi, she said it is because Mousavi believes priority should be given to domestic products and that the country should be self-sufficient.

 

The spokeswoman for Mousavi’s supporters also rejected accusations of financial corruption against Expediency Council Chairman Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani’s family made by President Ahmadinejad in his debate with Mousavi. Jelodarzadeh noted that the Judiciary should have pursued the issue if these accusations were documented. 

 

People seeking a change

 

Former MP Mohammad-Reza Khatami stated on Friday that people are seeking a change and the upcoming election is a good opportunity for the nation to change their fate.

 

He added the country seeks a kind of change that brings “security, glory, and honor” to the people and the country be managed based on “collective wisdom”. 

 

Talking to Mousavi’s supporters in Mashhad, Khatami stated, “Dictatorship means destroying independence, disbanding the organizations, and neglecting law.”  

 

The former secretary general of the Islamic Iran Participation Party (IIPP) added that the nation will not allow the country to face any dictatorship.

 

He went on to say that since the Islamic Revolution in 1979 it is the current administration which has made the highest use of public services for its election campaigns.
