Milad Tower dedicates space to museum of Islamic Revolution and Sacred Defense

TEHRAN, Jan. 27 (MNA) -- Two stories of Milad Tower are being donated to the Art and Culture Organization of Tehran Municipality to be converted into the museum of Islamic Revolution and Sacred Defense.

In a press conference held here at the Islamic Ideology Dissemination Organization (IIDO), head of the organization Ahmad Nurian said that Milad Tower will be officially inaugurated during the Ten-Day Dawn ceremonies.

He added that the museum would be different from what is being established beside the shrine of Imam Khomeini in southern Tehran.

Nurian added that a group of artists will create the longest painting yet on the central theme of the Islamic Revolution. It will have a length of 16km and extend from Imam Hossein Square to Enqelab Square.

“One city tour is also organized for students to pay visits to several places such as museums of Golestan and Sadabad, and the Niavaran and Eshraq cultural centers where they can visit an exhibition of photos portraying the early days of the Islamic Revolution in 1979,” he explained.

Other programs arranged for the Ten-Day Dawn ceremonies include screening films at cinemas affiliated with the Tehran Municipality, seminars, and a ceremony honoring 30 artists on the 30th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, he concluded.
