Speaking in a gathering of IRGC commanders on Sunday, General Mousavi commemorated the name and memory of martyrs of the Islamic Revolution and elaborated on the significant position of IRGC, unity and amity among Iranian armed forces and the latest developments in the region.
He pointed to the recent 12-day Israeli imposed war against Iran, stating that events happened in the last two years have proven the criminal nature of the United States and Zionist regime to the world.
Enemies of the country are law-breakers, warmongers, and deceivers, and they do not adhere to any international law or humanitarian norms, he continued.
By exposing the new tactics of the Zionist regime, he pointed out that Israeli regime has resorted to committing suicide and assassinating the Jewish community in other countries to prevent reverse migration, to escape internal turmoil, and to instill anti-Semitism with the aim of playing the victim.
The ceremony was also attended by the IRGC lead commander Major General Mohammad Pakpour and some of high-ranking military commanders as well as esteemed families of martyrs.
On June 13, 2025, Israel launched a blatant and unprovoked aggression against Iran while Washington and Tehran were in a process of nuclear negotiations. The Israeli attack triggered a 12-day war that killed at least 1,064 people in the country, including military commanders, nuclear scientists, and ordinary civilians.
The United States also entered the war by bombing three Iranian nuclear sites in a grave violation of international law.
In response, the Iranian Armed Forces targeted strategic sites across the occupied territories as well as the Al-Udeid air base in Qatar, the largest American military base in West Asia.
On June 24, Iran, through its successful retaliatory operations against both the Israeli regime and the US, managed to impose a halt to the aggression.
