During the meeting, the two sides exchanged their views on bilateral ties and issues of the mutual interest.
Fidan arrived in Tehran earlier on Sunday and was received by his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi.
He is scheduled to meet Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, and senior foreign policy adviser to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ali Akbar Velayati.
