Hamas' intelligent and political response to the Trump peace plan showed that this movement, along with fighting in the field, has reached a high level of maturity in politics.
The main provisions of Trump's twenty-point plan emphasize the implementation of a ceasefire, the release of all prisoners, the disarmament of Hamas, and the gradual withdrawal of Israel from Gaza. The plan also seek to meet the main demand of Israel, which is the disarmament of Hamas. In this plan, the issue of Israel's withdrawal from Gaza is also stated in stages and gradually, while no guarantee is provided for this gradual withdrawal.
However, Hamas' response to Trump's proposed plan was intelligent and aimed at securing the interests of the resistance and maintaining the unity of Palestinian groups. Hamas announced its agreement to the ceasefire, the release of prisoners and the simultaneous withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, but postponed the issue of disarmament of military forces and the future management of Gaza to consultations among Palestinian groups.
At the same time, individuals and media outlets close to this movement also announced that Hamas is a liberation movement and will keep its weapons for freedom, but if a government is formed in Palestine, it will hand over the weapons to that government.
This position, based on silencing a number of the twenty clauses of the Trump plan, was completely logical and in the direction of Palestinian unity, and showed the political maturity of Hamas leaders.
According to the announcement of the Egyptian government, negotiations between Israel and Hamas were scheduled to begin on Monday morning, October 6, in the Sharm El Sheikh region, with the presence of a senior American delegation. The United States and the European Union consider the Hamas movement a terrorist organization, and the Zionist regime was also determined to destroy this movement, but after nearly two years of resistance and inflicting severe blows on Israel, Hamas is entering into negotiations with the United States and Israel as a liberation movement and the legal representative of the Palestinian people.
Israel, which is under pressure from the families of the regime’s prisoners, has also agreed to implicitly accept the Trump plan with the first stage of withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, but has not given any guarantees for the subsequent stages. Accordingly, it is necessary for Hamas leaders to continue to be vigilant and authoritative in the negotiations and demand the necessary guarantees for Israel's complete withdrawal from Gaza.
Today, the Zionist regime is in its worst condition domestically and internationally and is the most hated regime in the world. To get out of this situation, this regime is seeking to make up its criminal image and is only interested in the release of prisoners.
Mediating countries such as Qatar, Egypt and Turkey may also act in favor of Israel to welcome Trump, so Hamas must have the final say and manage the negotiation scene authoritatively and confidently.
Hamas' insistence on its just positions and the realization of conditions that ensure the rights of the Palestinian people will certainly be welcomed by the Islamic world and all freedom lovers in the world.
