An account of Saudi Arabia's Al-Arabiya media network on X distorted a part of the speech of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei regarding the Gaza war.
Al-Arabiya claimed that the Leader opposed the ceasefire agreement in Gaza in his Monday speech.
This is while the real words of the Leader are completely against Al-Arabiya's claim.
"In the first part of his speech, Imam Khamenei explained the importance of the Palestinian issue in the thoughts and opinions of the late Imam Khomeini, emphasizing the rejection of reliance on so-called peace negotiations, the active participation of the Palestinian people in taking back their rights, as well as all nations’ help, especially that of the Muslim nations for the Palestinian people. These principles, according to the Leader, embody Imam Khomeini’s vision for the ultimate victory of the Palestinians," reads the news story published by Leader's website.
In fact, the Leader was talking about Imam Khomeini's view on the Palestinian issue and was referring to the rejection of compromise negotiations in that regard, not the ceasefire talks in the current situation.
