Iranian Music Association to join MIDEM ’07

“MIDEM is the biggest and most authorized music market, whose 41st edition will be held from Jan. 21 to 25 in Cannes,” Babak Rezaii added.

He stated that the Sorush Publications has been the sole representative of Iran at the event during the last eight editions.

However, the association along with other publishers Barbad, Hermess, and Mahur will accompany Sorush at next year’s market, he said.

Rezaii explained that the selected Iranian publishers for the event have mostly released high-quality works and their products have excelled others in terms of quality and quantity.   

Each January, the global music industry’s key players meet in Cannes to do deals, network, learn about the sector’s future, and check out new talents.

Today, MIDEM attracts nearly 10,000 delegates from almost 100 countries, from the recording, publishing, live, sync, digital, and mobile sectors.

It is as such the source of profitable new music business. MIDEM also offers high-level conferences, cutting-edge concerts and events, and numerous business services.
