Putin calls Raeisi to offer condolences over railway accident

TEHRAN, Jun. 08 (MNA) – Russian media have said that President Vladimir Putin has made a phone call to his Iranian counterpart on Wednesday to offer condolences to Iran over earlier today's railway accident.

President Vladimir Putin held telephone conversation with president of Iran on Wednesday, Russian Sputnik Arabic Language said in a report.

Meanwhile, the Russia Today telegram channel has reported that the two presidents noted the need for continued diplomatic efforts to reach an agreement on Iran's nuclear program.

The RT also said that President Putin also expressed his condolences in connection with the railway accident in Iran on Wednesday morning.
