Diplomat urges foreign ministry to consolidate field achievements in region

TEHRAN, Aug. 06 (MNA) – Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Iranian Parliament Director General for International Affairs says that now is the time that foreign ministry should solidify the field gains of General Soleimani in the region.

“The role of the diplomatic apparatus [of Iran] is crucial to consolidating the field's achievements in the region,” said Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Iranian Parliament Director General for International Affairs.

The Iranian former deputy foreign minister made the remark in an interview on his term of service in Iranian foreign ministry relevant to various regional and international issues.

“At the height of regional crises, when envoys from the most outspoken countries of the region travelled to Iran to discuss different political and security issues, they all made one request; to have a meeting with General Soleimani and have a memory photo with the commander of IRGC’s Quds Force taken,” said the Iranian diplomat.

He said the importance of this issue lies in the fact that the strategic situation of Iran and the handling of this regional strategy in the area of resistance by General Soleimani led to the spread of the discourse of the Islamic Revolution go with practice and action in the region in the past decades.

“And I must say that Imam Khamenei presented the regional discourse of the Islamic Revolution at the highest level of it and managed it in such a way that it went with action and practice in the regional and international arenas, and this very issue brought us power,” he asserted.

“When we talk about nuclear achievement, it means we are focus on the progress of our country. Iran enjoys the highest status in the nuclear issue and in the area of defending the oppressed in the region, such as the issue of Palestine and fighting with the ominous Zionist regime which threatens our national security and the region. And the whole set of our achievements and Iran’s constructive influence in the region have caused the intolerance of the enemies of who cannot put up with this superior power.”

"I think the recent rhetoric of the president required security and military bases of the country. And the words of the enemies of the Islamic Revolution and their threats to create problems demanded a strong military backing, and certainly the words of General Soleimani backed President Rouhani’s words," said Amir-Abdollahian.

“If yesterday we evaluated the crises of the region at the point of boiling, now the situation in the region is moving toward to a relative serenity through political agreements. If so far the role of General Soleimani has been very bold in the field, today the role of the diplomatic apparatus is crucial to consolidating the field's achievements in the region.”
