'Iran will successfully overcome challenge of new sanctions'

TEHRAN, Jul. 14 (MNA) – Head of Plan and Budget Organization Mohammad-Bagher Nobakht said that the country can overcome sanctions successfully due to its high capabilities and potentials.

“We have predicted high capacities of the country in both public and private sectors to deal with sanctions at this stage,” he maintained.

For this purpose, comprehensive programs have been launched and formulated between university lecturers and activists of private sector in line with countering sanctions, Nobakht highlighted.

He put the current number of semi-finished projects in the country at more than 71,000 and said, “the country needs about 450,000 billion tomans worth of fund in order to complete construction operation of these semi-finished projects.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, he pointed to the special emphasis of the Leader of Islamic Revolution on setting up Economic Coordination Higher Council to counter sanctions and said, “several expert-level sessions have been launched in this regard.”

Turning to the oil sale, Nobakht said, “the Ministry of Oil has devised a comprehensive program for selling oil in sanctions period.”

In conclusion, he said, “US pullout from Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) has been condemned by all countries in the world and proved that US government does not comply with its commitments within the framework of international rules and regulations.”
