Iran slams Saudi-led coalition’s attack on Yemen’s Al Hudaydah

TEHRAN, Jun. 14 (MNA) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi has blasted the Saudi-led coalition’s latest attack on the port city of Al Hudaydah in Yemen.

In a statement on Thursday, the Iranian spokesman censured the attack saying, “there is no military solution to Yemen crisis and aggressors should stop their assaults.”

The Iranian diplomat expressed concern about aggravation of humanitarian conditions in the impoverished country.

He went on to say that such crimes will shatter the hopes for political endeavors and will add to the complexity of the situation.

Saudi-led coalition launched airstrikes on Al Hudaydah on Wednesday morning while supported by ground forces. As the attacks enter the second day, the United Nations Security Council has called for an emergency session, according to Reuters.
