“If the JCPOA get scrapped by US attack, they will assuredly reap no benefit from it,” said Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani, the Secretary of Iran's (SNSC), on Tuesday.
He made the remarks hours before the slated time for Trump’s say on nuclear deal and added, “If US start opposing Iran, we won’t stay inactive.”
“It seems that Trump and his administration are following three parallel strategies in regards with the JCPOA; the first one is a minimum strategy to make the benefits of the JCPOA for Iran worthless and gradually exhausted,” said the Iranian official.
“The second strategy is to win more points from the Islamic Republic of Iran through the framework of the JCPOA and the last strategy is to ruin the deal,” recounted Mr. Shamkhani.
“The biggest mistake of Europeans is to relatively accompany US with Trump’s second strategy. It is possible that Trump trust the Europeans’ accompaniment and make a distance with the third strategy on the surface,” asserted Mr. Shamkhani.
“However, it is quite clear that the Islamic Republic of Iran has fully determinedly stood against this strategy and will decline any avaricious call for more benefits and advantages,” he underlined.
