Regional terrorism rooted in Saudi ideologies

TEHRAN, Mar. 28 (MNA) – FM Spokesman Ghasemi said roots of terrorism in the region could be traced in radical ideas developed in Saudi Arabia which have now plagued the world.

In response to the remarks made by spokesperson of the so-called Arab Coalition, Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi deemed Ahmed Asiri’s statements on the Islamic Republic of Iran as vulgar saying “the main threats in the region are Takfiri terrorists and their regional and international supporters who, under the guise of fighting terrorism, have committed the worst crimes inside the region.”

The official, while referring to Iran's all-out efforts to create convergence and collective action in order to bring stability to the region, deemed repeated imprudence of Saudi government in relying on America as a disruptive factor to regional stability adding “it has been previously stated that, throughout history, interference of cross-regional countries has yielded no result but instability, division and propagation of terrorism and violence without benefiting people of the region.”

Ghasemi recalled catastrophic slaughter of thousands of Yemeni women and children by Saudi Arabian troops noting “radical ideas developed in Saudi Arabia are roots of terrorism in the region which has now plagued the region and the world in the form of various groups of Takfiri terrorism.
