In a meeting with Ivory Coast Foreign Minister Marcel Amon-Tanoh on Friday, the Iranian diplomat added that there existed proper venues for economic cooperation and reinvigoration of commercial exchanges between the two sides in the energy, oil and gas, agriculture, health and treatment and transportation spheres.
Shakibmehr went on to express Iran’s readiness to share its experience in those fields with Ivory Coast.
Amon-Tanoh, for his part, said bilateral relations were at appropriate level and Abidjan was ready to hold joint commissions within the next months.
The official, while voicing willingness to visit Iran, hoped that arrangements for Iran Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif’s trip to Ivory Coast would be made in the near future.
Marcel Amon-Tanoh was appointed interim foreign affairs minister when Albert Toikeusse Mabri was dismissed in November under a cabinet reshuffle.
