Speaking at a press conference with his Sri Lankan counterpart, Ali Larijani said “during the meeting with Mr. Karu Jayasuriya, issues related to economic ties and negotiations at an international level were discussed.”
He pointed to Iran’s good relations with the south Asian island nation asserting “very good suggestions were put forward in the economic sphere and grounds were provided for activating private sectors of both sides.”
The official recalled that Iranian contractors could take the emerged opportunity in the field of technical and engineering services and urged then to spare no effort in export and import arenas.
Speaker of the Iranian Parliament further voiced satisfaction towards the proposal for tourism cooperation noting “finding a solution to banking issues and expansion of oil and gas activities were other issues raised at the joint meeting.”
