Alaeddin Boroujerdi, who is on a three-day visit to Pakistani capital city of Islamabad, met with Pakistani Senate Chairman Raza Rabbani on Thursday.
Mr. Boroujerdi handed the formal invitation from Iran’s Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani to Rabbani to attend the upcoming conference on Palestine in Tehran.
The two parliamentarian officials also discussed the bilateral ties and parliamentarian cooperation between the two countries of Iran and Pakistan, in addition to conferring on the latest regional issues.
The meeting, which was on Boroujerdi’s second day in Islamabad, the two sides underlined the necessity of bolstering, more than before, bilateral relations between ‘the two neighborly and friendly countries’ of Iran and Pakistan in all areas of politics, economy, trade, culture, etc.
The visiting Iranian MP is scheduled to meet afterward with Pakistan’s National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq and deliver him too Larijani’s invitation to Tehran conference on Palestine.
Before meeting with Raza Rabbani, Mr. Boroujerdi had a bilateral meeting with Pakistani Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz.
The chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission arrived in Pakistan on Wednesday.
