Iran backs Axis of Resistance based on Constitution

TEHRAN, Dec. 27 (MNA) – Head of Parliament NSFPC Alaeddin Boroujerdi stressed Iran’s firm support to Yemen, saying the Islamic Republic’s Constitution has stipulated defending all the oppressed in the world, particularly the Muslims.

Chairman of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission (NSFPC) Alaeddin Boroujerdi made the remark in a Monday meeting with Rizwan al-Haimi, member of Yemen’s Supreme Revolutionary Council, here in Tehran.

During the meeting, Boroujerdi maintained that Iran has spared no efforts in lending a helping hand to the Axis of Resistance, including Palestine, Lebanon, Syria and Yemen, against the Zionist-Takfiri-Wahabi enemies.

The Iranian senior official extended his congratulations over the recent victories of Yemenis in an unjust battle against the Saudi-American-Zionist enemy forces and under a complete political, economic and military siege.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran will continue its political and spiritual assistance and humanitarian aid to the oppressed nation of Yemen,” he stressed.

Al-Haimi, for his part, noted that his visit to Iran aimed at delivering his country’s message of appreciation to the nation and government of Iran for their all-out support to Yemen.

He stressed that Yemen would not surrender to the Saudi-American-Zionist mercenaries despite the intensive airstrikes and the political, economic and military blockade.

“The establishment of Yemen’s national salvation government and People’s Assembly was an important step toward the strengthening of unity and solidarity among people and the continuation of resistance against enemies,” he said.

The Yemeni official further called for the continuation of Iran’s spiritual support for Yemeni’s nation and the national salvation government in various regional and international communities.
