TEHRAN, Oct. 08 (MNA) – Local media in Syria reported on Tuesday afternoon that several explosions were heard in Damascus, with local media reporting that the attack was done by Israeli regime.

The explosions are reported to have been caused by the Zionist Israeli regime's aerial aggression.

Syrian sources reported that the Zionist regime attacked a building in Al-Mazzeh  District in ​​Damascus with 4 missiles.

Roads and streets leading to Al-Mazzeh have been blocked by the security forces as that neighborhood houses many high-ranking officials. 

Photos shared on social media appear to show smoke rising from the Damascus area.

The preliminary reports suggest that the attack left more than 20 wounded and 4 dead.

Tehran-based Press TV has reported that 11 people were injured in the Israeli attack. 

Military sources in Iran said that there was no Iranian among the victims in the attack.
