TEHRAN, Aug. 15 (MNA) – High school students from Iran scooped three awards and a diploma of honor at the 34th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) underway in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

During the contest, Alireza Kaviani and Koosha Mousavi won gold, Alireza Samimi got silver, and Arya Hemmati received a diploma of honor.

The IOI is regarded as a prestigious computer science competition for secondary school and high school students around the world.

As many as 357 contestants from 90 countries took part in the contest this year.
