Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah appeared on Al-Manar TV on Friday to address a host of regional and international issues, as wells as Lebanon’s domestic affairs.
The Hezbollah chief noted that what happened in the US reflects the country’s scenario in many other countries in the past to topple the state in other countries.
"What the Americans witnessed overnight was a small result of the crimes that Donald Trump committed during the four years of presidency in Syria, Iraq and Yemen, including the and the assassination of Iran's anti-terror commander General Ghasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes."
However, this time, Nasrallah said, “Donald Trump applied the same scenario in the USA and killed Americans.”
He said, "This shows that American democracy is a lie, and it is dangerous to let someone like Trump to run for president. It was God who saved the world for the past four years because the nuclear key is in the hands of an arrogant, domineering and crazy person like Trump. I hope the remaining days of the Trump era go well."
Nasrollah added that “what happened in US Congress is tremendous and deserves a thorough study.”
Hezbollah supports probe into Beirut blast till end
Nasrallah also pointed to a huge explosion in the Lebanese capital of Beirut in early August 2020, that claimed more than a hundred lives, injured thousands more and sent seismic shockwaves through the city.
“Beirut Port blast is a national cause, and all the Lebanese are concerned with it.”
He expressed Hezbollah’s support to the investigations into the incident till revealing the truth, saying, “The technical investigation into the blast conducted by the Lebanese army and security forces is over, so the judiciary must announce the result.”
“The Judge investigating Beirut Port blast is focusing on the related administrative dereliction, not the direct reasons of the explosion,” he said, calling on the investigative judge "to charge all the real culprits involved in blast regardless of their religious affiliations."
"The families of the martyrs and the wounded have the right to know how their children were martyred and injured and the full truth, and to know that this incident was planned or as a result of negligence," he said.
Nasrallah criticized some political parties for "utilizing the delay in announcing the results of the investigation into Beirut blast to accuse Hezbollah and its allies of being involved in the explosion."
"The explosion in the port of Beirut should remain an internal issue and should not be turned into a regional, sectarian or political issue," he added.
