TEHRAN, Jan. 03 (MNA) – Al-Qaeda claimed responsibility for killing French troops in Mali.

Last week, three French soldiers were killed in Mali while Al-Qaeda has claimed responsibility for the operation against them.

A North African branch of al-Qaeda has claimed responsibility for an operation against three French soldiers killed in Mali last week on Monday.

This is while two other French soldiers were killed yesterday in a bomb blast in Minaka area on way of their armored vehicle.

These forces are in Mali as part of Operation Barkhan, claiming to be fighting against terrorism and originally aimed at maintaining France's traditional influence in Africa.

According to the report, two other French soldiers were killed in Mali as a result of a bomb explosion and another wounded in the blast.

The incident occurred after an armored vehicle carrying these people was hit by a bomb.

Last week, three French soldiers were killed in a bomb blast in Mali, and an al-Qaeda affiliate claimed responsibility for the blast.
