TEHRAN, Feb. 09 (MNA) – The CEO of Lordegan Petrochemical Project said the plant’s construction was nearly complete (98%), adding the project would come online soon despite difficulties caused by sanctions.

According to SHANA, Mohsen Mahmoudi said that the project was being prepared for inauguration despite all the difficulties it had undergone because of the sanctions.

He further said that the project would bring about many positive impacts on the region’s economy, adding the plant had created over 2,000 direct jobs.

The official said that the National Development Fund of Iran was to be tapped for bankrolling the project.
