TEHRAN, Nov. 22 (MNA) – The IRGC PR department announced Thu. that five of the 12 Iranian guards abducted by terrorists at a border post in the city of Mirjaveh, southeast Iran, have returned home after 36 days in captivity.

The Public Relations department of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced in a statement on Thursday the safe return of five of the 12 Iranian border guards, including local Basij volunteer forces, who were abducted by the so-called Jaish ul-Adl terror group near the Pakistan-Iran border point of Mirjaveh on October 16.

The five border guards that returned home Wednesday night include Zabir Rigi, Saeid Notizehi, Rasoul Gomshadzehi, Mohammad Motamedi, and Mehrdad Abar-Azad.

The statement stresses the continuation of efforts and consultations with the Pakistani side to ensure the safe return of the remaining abducted guards.
