TEHRAN, Nov. 03 (MNA) – Chairman of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iranian Parliament Heshmatollah Falahatpisheh said that Islamic Republic of Iran will take advantage of all its capacities and potentials optimally in order to counter the US sanctions.

The United States has faced a major challenge in the issue of sanctions imposed on Iran, he said, adding, “under such circumstances, all internal, international and bilateral capacities of the country should be used optimally in order to deal with the US sanctions.”

Turning to the reimposition of second round of sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran on Nov. 4, he added, “US President Trump tries to impose sanctions on Iran with a humiliating image which shows that he [Trump] is not aware of grandeur, dignity and zeal of Iranian people.”

Falahatpisheh termed US sanctions imposed on Iran as test of internal unity and amity among Iranians and stated, “sanctions prove the legitimacy of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards hostility that does not pity Iranians at any time.”

US pullout from Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) has caused a wave of hatred and disgust among Iranians, the world and even American people, he reiterated.

Turning to the eight countries received sanctions waiver from the United States, he said, “US government left no stone unturned to tarnish status of the Islamic Republic of Iran in international arenas but finally, it failed in practice.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, Falahatpisheh pointed to the measures taken by the Commission with regard to defusing reimposition of US sanctions on Iran on Nov. 4 and stated, “effective steps have been taken in this regard in order to follow up the issue meticulously.”

In the wake of US withdrawal from JCPOA, other countries as signatories of the deal, while lashing out at the US move in this regard, announced that they would stay committed to the deal comprehensively.

European Union announced that it will implement the ‘blocking statute’ in sanctions period to support European companies active in the Islamic Republic of Iran, he maintained.
